Manuela Serrano, speaker at the National Restructuring Congress organised by Tirant Formación
On 28 and 29 May, the Ateneo de Madrid hosted a new edition of the National Restructuring Congress, organised by Tirant Formación and firmly established as one of the leading reference forums for legal, financial and business professionals specialising in restructuring and insolvency.
The event, led by Alfonso Muñoz Paredes, Specialist Magistrate of the CGPJ and Doctor of Law, brought together more than a hundred experts to analyse, from an eminently practical perspective, the main challenges and judicial criteria shaping the sector today. Unlike other forums, the Congress’s methodology moves away from exclusively theoretical approaches to focus on real cases already debated before the courts, allowing attendees to understand what decisions the tribunals reached, which strategies proved effective and what trends are defining the most recent practice.
Toda & Nel-lo participated in this edition as a sponsor of the Congress, reaffirming its commitment to specialist advice in restructuring and insolvency processes and its active involvement in the country’s leading legal and business analysis forums.
The firm was represented by Manuela Serrano, partner responsible for the Restructuring and Insolvency practice area at Toda & Nel-lo and president of ASPAC, who spoke in one of the programme’s sessions, sharing her experience and practical insight into the current challenges facing companies in restructuring contexts.
Throughout the various sessions, roundtables and debate spaces, the programme fostered dialogue among a wide range of profiles, addressing highly topical issues such as class formation, plan approval, expert reports, financing in restructuring contexts and the role of the independent expert.
The event once again became an important meeting point for the exchange of experiences among professionals in the sector, at a time when the regulatory framework for corporate restructuring is going through a period of intense activity, with operations of major economic significance and case law in full consolidation.
The National Restructuring Congress thus cements its place as an unmissable date in the legal calendar: a space where professional practice, judicial analysis and sector expertise converge to address the challenges of a constantly evolving regulatory environment.
