Toda & Nel-lo strengthens its position in Chambers and Partners Europe 2026 with improvements in key areas

The firm moves up a band in two of the four practice areas in which it is ranked. It also adds four new partners to the directory and improves two individual rankings

Chambers and Partners, one of the leading directories in the legal sector, has recently published the results of its European guide for 2026, in which Toda & Nel-lo has experienced a significant improvement in its positioning.

At the practice area level, the firm maintains four ranked areas, with notable band increases in Corporate/Commercial (band 3) and Dispute Resolution (band 2) both in Barcelona, reflecting the market’s growing recognition of these practices. Meanwhile, areas such as Public Law and Tax maintain their positions in the ranking (bands 1 and 4, respectively), consolidating their track record.

At the individual level, Chambers recognises more than a dozen professionals from the firm, highlighting Ignacio Toda’s position in band 1 in Public Law, as well as the progression of Manuela Serrano, who also reaches the top tier in Insolvency Administration within the Restructuring/Insolvency practice.

The directory also includes four new individual recognitions in practices related to Barcelona, particularly in the tax area, with Francisco Chamorro and Albert Mestres entering as Up-and-Coming, a category reserved for young partners with strong progression, demonstrating the strength and projection of the firm’s internal talent. The other two additions are Pau Nel-lo, who enters the Corporate/Commercial ranking, and Carlos Piera, who debuts in Employment. In this new edition, Lourdes Pérez-Luque enters the new Tax: Highly Regarded category with a band 3 ranking.

The full individual recognitions are as follows:

  • Ignacio Toda, Public Law: Barcelona, band 1
  • Ricard Nel-lo, Public Law: Barcelona, band 2
  • Javier García, Public Law: Barcelona, band 3
  • Albert Faus, Dispute Resolution: Barcelona, band 3
  • Ignacio Goytisolo, Tax Law: Barcelona, band 3
  • Francisco Chamorro, Tax Law: Barcelona, Up-and-Coming (new entry)
  • Albert Mestres, Tax Law: Barcelona, Up-and-Coming (new entry)
  • Josep Mª Balcells, Corporate/Commercial: Barcelona, band 4
  • Pau Nel-lo, Corporate/Commercial: Barcelona, band 5 (new entry)

  • Lourdes Pérez-Luque, Tax: Highly Regarded (Spain), band 3
