More than 90% of law firms anticipate an increase in restructuring operations this year, with larger cases and a particularly dynamic environment for distress M&A transactions. This is reflected in the latest analysis by El Confidencial, which includes contributions from our partner Manuela Serrano<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

In her contribution, Serrano identifies the retail and consumer sector<\/strong> as one of the main areas of activity in the coming months, \u201cparticularly companies with cost structures inherited from the inflationary period\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

She also points to the possible emergence of transactions in other areas such as real estate, industrial and hospitality sectors<\/strong>, although she stresses that the current landscape does not suggest widespread sectoral crises but rather specific situations: \u201crather than sector-wide crises, we will see specific cases in certain companies\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

These forecasts come within a context of increasing relevance of restructuring processes, driven both by macroeconomic factors and by the consolidation of the tools provided under insolvency regulations.<\/p>\n
